The first product of the Icelandic company Jurt Hydroponics is Nordic Wasabi. One of the most challenging plants to cultivate is the Wasabi Japonica plant. However, Jurt Hydroponics has discovered the solution. Nordic Wasabi greenhouses have some of the latest technology in Europe. Heat, brightness, and humidity are all controlled by sophisticated computer systems, and specific nutrients are used to water their plants at specific times and amounts based on environmental info. Jurt adheres to the Nordic Food Manifesto, which emphasizes purity, freshness, and simplicity, and has worked diligently through each stage of the growing process to ensure that it complies with sustainable industry standards from beginning to end. Fresh wasabi needs to be ground into a creamy paste to bring out its bouquet and sweetness. The leafstalks should be cut off at the top. Using a sharp knife, trim the outer layer as high as the stem that will be used. While not necessary, this produces a cleaner paste.
