About Moore
Moore Theatre is a 1,419-seat performing arts complex on the corner of Second Avenue and Virginia Street, two blocks from Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. It is the oldest still active theater in Seattle. Moore hosted theatrical productions, concerts and lectures. A concert or recital is a live performance, usually musical, in front of an audience. Music may be performed by individual musicians (called Recital) or by a group of musicians, such as an orchestra or choir. The popular names for concerts are "show" and "gig". Concert venues have many possibilities, such as public performance halls, nightclubs, music houses, gymnasiums, barns, concert halls and multipurpose performance venues. Musicians usually perform on the stage. Before records became popular, concerts were the only chance listeners had to hear a musician play.
