Before Moka Origins was a coffee and chocolate company, they were a sustainable farming business. In 2014, it and its partner Ishan founded Moka Origins as a community-based agricultural project in Cameroon, West Africa. Their mission in Cameroon is to create food security, market linkages and employment opportunities by working with farmers and directly growing local food and cash crops such as cocoa and running Farmer Field Schools. Since 2007, he and his wife have been working in Cameroon, West Africa, leading various humanitarian initiatives for a nonprofit called the Himalayan Institute.
