About Missing Link
Missing Link was founded by a group of UC Berkeley students in the basement of the school's student union building in 1971 and was incorporated in 1973. From the beginning they belonged to the workers. They are still here more than 40 years later. Missing Link comes from bike communities of different backgrounds: they commute, they race, they travel, they are parents, they are students. But they all have one thing in common: appreciation of bicycles, their craftsmanship and the environment. Over the years, some of them have come and gone, but in the end they have run the store together. From thick to thin. Running cooperatives is not easy, but they are committed to each other, their communities, bicycles and a more sustainable world.
