Bleeperbike is Ireland's first stop less bike sharing program. Station less bicycles are equipped with a smart lock fixed to the rear wheel of the bicycle. This smart lock controls the use of the bicycle to communicate with them to customize the application. With the smart lock being a permanent bike, the bike can be picked up, where traditional bicycle parking is allowed, and they do not require custom build docking bays. Bleeperbike started in 2016 when CEO Hugh Cooney saw the evolution of station less bike sharing during vacations in China. Hugh is a regular and a big fan of Dublin's bikes, but he sees how the "no-stop" model has the potential to make bike sharing more popular. Eliminating the need to build expensive stops means that bike-sharing programs are no longer what their local government has to pay.
