About Mid States Wool Growers
The involvement of producers in the Mid States Wool Growers history is extensive. The organization's driving force has always been to satisfy the requirements of the American sheep producer, beginning in 1918 when producers sought a higher price for their wool and continuing until today, when producers designed one of the world's most technologically advanced warehouses. Producers have always sought to be at the forefront of sheep-producer service and have served on the Board of Directors over the years. Mid States Wool Growers has always been a visible example of what producers working together can accomplish, from its beginnings in 1918, when a few producers came together with an idea, to today, when 5, 000 farmer/owners market 3 million pounds from 23 states.
