Marrion Rounseville and Roy Rounseville founded Mandrliquors. A family-owned business, in 1952. The first store for the firm opened in Glastonbury, Connecticut, and by the middle of the 1970s, there were fourteen locations. Gary and Neal, the two sons of Roy and Marrion, took over running the businesses at this time, and they continue to do so today. Mandrliquors now has six locations encircling Hartford, Connecticut. Both members of the third generation—Ian Rounseville, son of Gary, and Kyle Rounseville, son of Neal—joined the company full-time in 2009 and 2020, respectively, to carry on the "M&R" history. M&R has won several awards for leadership at the local, state, and federal levels.
