About Red Hot & Blue
In 1988, Red Hot & Blue’s founder and his friends opened their first red, red and blue restaurant in Arlington, Virginia. These people are friends, and they yearn for authentic Memphis-style barbecues and great blues music. Since they couldn't find such a combination anywhere in Washington, D.C., they decided the only way to do that was to opened Red Hot & Blue. Dancing Pig LLC acquired the barbecue chain in 2006, in the fall of 2007, the company moved its headquarters from Arlington, Virginia, to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to focus on the addition of franchise stores nationwide. Each restaurant features blues-themed memorabilia and a giant dancing pig logo. Pigs - coupled with the wonderful pecan scent, barbecues seeping outside - attract customers to red hot and blue restaurants all over the country. In Annapolis, Maryland, there are 16 full-service restaurants, takeaways and dining units.
