About Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine
126 thousand Cubans flee the communist island in a huge migration during the Mariel Boat Lift in 1980. The Vilario family was one of the fortunate ones to survive the difficult passage and arrive in the land of freedom. The family was resolved to achieve the American dream after years of adversity. Antonio, Nilda, and their five daughters purchased their first restaurant, Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine in Hollywood in 1984. Nilda and the girls catered to devoted customers by delivering affable service, which has turned out to be a drawing factor in their long-lasting success, while Antonio was learning to cook. Shortly after, Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine gained a reputation as Hollywood's premier Cuban restaurant, promising patrons authentic Cuban cuisine and the friendliest service in town.
