Carefully handle the Knifet. Although the knife's thin blade, high cut, and small bevel angle provide excellent cutting capabilities, mechanical damage to the blade and tip is possible. Never use it as a crowbar with the knife. When hardened to a high hardness, the blade becomes brittle and can break when prying. Breakage is especially likely at the knife's tip. For cutting, use an axe. Only use a Knifet that is designed specifically for the task at hand as a last resort. Chopping can be tolerated to a limited extent with knives that have a thicker blade, a blunter bevel angle, and, ideally, a lens blade. If you absolutely have to, cut with a swing, but don't hit the back of the knife with anything else, especially not something made of steel. This would dependably annihilate the blade.
