Kindy'S founded in 1980, the kindy factory outlet is part of the Brite Star manufacturing company, a leading manufacturer of Christmas products, located in south Philadelphia. At the request of a neighbor at the south Philadelphia plant, the plant opened the warehouse door and sold wire garlands5, icicles, lights, tree tops and ornaments that the company had produced and imported since 1932. Outlets, which operates in part of the company's warehouse, is open year-round for the first few years, selling everything from Christmas decorations to household items and clothing. Then brothers Sandy and John Kinderman, the owners of the family business, decided to stick to the Christmas shop during the holiday season. The idea caught on quickly.
