About Kiddie Park
Kiddie Park is the nation's oldest children's amusement park. Although it has undergone modern renovations, the park has kept its 1920s aesthetic by keeping all of its original rides, including the park's vintage Ferris Wheel and the famous hand-carved Herschell Spillman carousel. The original location of Kiddie Park was close to the intersection of Broadway and East Mulberry Avenue, but the expanding site made it difficult to park and expand. The San Antonio Zoo reached an agreement to take over the historic park in the summer of 2019 and began laying the groundwork for its new relocation to the zoo. San Antonio Zoo will offer the same experience that generations of visitors have come to know and love while honoring and maintaining their nostalgic appearance and feel.
