About Joseph Ambler Inn
Joseph Ambler Inn is the result of decades of work and vision by owner Richard Allman and his dedicated employees. Starting from a simple 12-room farmhouse in 1983; B is now a 52-room luxury hotel and restaurant located in 5 historic buildings: the farmhouse, barn, Thomas Wilson House, Collebeck Villa and John Roberts House. Read on for the history of these buildings and the development of the hotel. Joseph Ambler Inn The land where it is now was originally part of a large piece of land owned by William Pan. In 1682, William Payne awarded 1,000 acres to Richard Pierce. In 1711, 50 acres of land were sold to William Morgan. Morgan built the original part of the farmhouse, including a place to prepare meals and a small bedroom upstairs. After Morgan's death, the property was sold to Joseph Amble.
