Jefferson Street Ceramics were striving to complete a hand-building project for a high school pottery program for beginners. They transitioned from hand building to wheel throwing quite fast, and the more they got their hands dirty, the more they were drawn to the craft of pottery. It was exciting to think that a lump of unprocessed clay soil could be transformed into something exquisite and lovely with a little work, imagination, and expertise. Could disorder produce beauty?
