About Chouami
Chouami is a one of a kind and straightforward fermentation device that attaches to a Le Parfait glass jar, which is durable and made in France. Making your own kimchi, natural pickles, sauerkraut, and other lacto-fermented foods at home in small batches is a simple and straightforward process. In the spring of 2020, Chouami was born as a result of a successful Kickstarter campaign in which over 500 enthusiastic backers from all over the world brought their vision of simple at-home fermentation to life. Their campaign can be found here. Chef Karen Diggs, founder of Kraut Source, came up with the highly functional and stylish design for ChouAmi. It is based on traditional fermentation crocks from Europe and Asia, which have been used for centuries to make healthy, cultured foods. Their objective is to contribute to the modern revival of the ancient art of fermentation for the 21st century.
