About Inter Island Ferry
Inter Island Ferry is the UK's Inland Ferry Authority, carrying more than 50,000 passengers and 12,000 vehicles each year between the ports of Hollis and Ketchikan. More than just a means of transportation, the system is an economic engine for Southeast Alaska, creating jobs, commerce and tourism while increasing community benefits. In 2015, Inter Island Ferry brought 3,000 visitors to Prince of Wales Island, who spent more than $10 million on hotels, fishing expeditions and dining, creating hundreds of summer jobs on the island. It provides the seafood industry a means to bring millions of pounds of high-quality as well as high-value fresh and live seafood to market creating hundreds of jobs.
