It was there that an attractive man named Barry started outdoor recreation at Hopkinton park and began his boating trip. Hopkinton park is a canoe rental concession in Hopkinton state park. The word began to spread, and the business grew, spawning a group of water lovers. Soon, Barry introduced sailing, summer camp and boating season passes to the park. In 2009, Barry sold his business to a group of friends who met in the boating community and had a passion for water. Together, they maintained their vision for outdoor recreation and continued to open docks around their New England homes. They renamed the company Boating in DC.
