About Iguanas
An installation of the New Orleans music scene for north of twenty years, Iguanas music is an irresistible blend of America's melodic legacy - Tejano and Conjunto sounds from the Texas/Mexico line locale, as best exemplified by the accordion and bajo sexto, the American South's Blues, Jazz and New Orleans R&B, and the red hot energy of the music of the Caribbean and Mexico. Following these impacts to say the very least, Iguanas reclassify the idea of Americana, crossing societies, styles, times also, even dialects. Maybe Rue Bourbon, Muscle Shoals and Plaza de Mexico were all within a nearby vicinity to one another and they were the melodic channel between them. It isn't surpising then that the individuals from them have (altogether or separately) played or recorded with everybody from Charlie Rich, Alex Chilton, and Willy DeVille to Emylou Harris, Allen Tousaint, and Pretty Lights.
