Greek Souvlaki was founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulo’s. They were the first to bring hero to Utah. A family trip back to Greece inspired the idea of a restaurant. Lee's brother Tasso Petropoulos owns a small restaurant in Piraeus that serves years, and Lee notes that tourists love them. Originally, Souvlaki sold only three items: years (top), Souvlaki and Benteke. The red sauce is the special sauce, but the white sauce was actually added years later! With Mary's homemade recipes and lee's inventive creativity, they added many other items to the menu. Since Lee and Mary retired in 2000, Greek Souvlaki has added two businesses.
