About Gaslight Theatre
Gaslight Theatre was established in 1966 as the Enid Community Theatre. The Gaslamp Theater is one of Oklahoma's oldest and most active community theaters. The organizational mission of the Enid Community Theatre is twofold to provide a wide range of high-quality theatrical entertainment to a broad audience of Enid and the surrounding community and to provide lay actors, directors, designers and technicians with a place to learn and practice their arts. Gaslight Theatre was located in an old TV studio in the 200 block of East Randolph, later settled in a converted warehouse in the 200 block of East Maple, and moved to its current location at 221 Independence in 1989. The current theatre was purchased and fully refurbished with tremendous community support. The Billings Theater, built in the early 20th century, is located in the northern United States 221.
