In 1992, homestead restaurant owners purchased the vacant Indian head bank building in Laconia. The historic brick building didn't fit into another Homestead site, so the McDonough family set out to develop a new theme. The end result is Italian Grille, a casual American restaurant that serves wood-brick oven pizza, steaks, seafood and Italian cuisine. The second floor has an outdoor deck, adding seating for 30 guests during the summer. Following the huge success of the Laconia market, the McDonough brothers bought the Myrna shoe house on Manchester high street in 1997. After extensive renovations, the 86,000-square-foot building is divided into business apartments and Fratellos, a 16,000-square-foot compound with event facilities. To this day, Fratellos restaurant in Manchester remains one of the most popular dining venues in Manchester.
