All things English Laundry Perfumes are designed and made by Christopher Wicks. They was born in Manchester, England, during the 1960s. In his formative years, they drew guitars, clothes, and shoes for comfort. But what started as a pre-teen hobby turned into a lifelong job creating men's and women's clothing and interiors. At the age of 22, English Laundry Perfumes landed his first full-time design position working for one of England's major gentlemen's shirt manufacturers as a designer of men's formal shirts. His early love of stripes, collar styles, pearl buttons, and French cuffs has followed him throughout his career and finally led him away from gentlemen's clothing and into the more popular world of sportswear.
