About El Tamarindo
Jose and Betty Reyes came to Washington, DC in the mid 1980's with a common fantasy about settling down and building another everyday life in the US. The Reyes' tried sincerely and painstakingly put their income to the side since they had come to understand one more shared dream-opening their own café. Jose and Betty's fantasy worked out as expected when, in 1982, they opened El Tamarindo in the city's Adams Morgan area. Jose and Betty needed to make where Adams Morgan occupants as well as guests who were simply going through could encounter an astounding family style formal dinner with a Focal American flare. With much difficult work and the reliable assistance of family, companions and an astonishing staff, they had the option to get that going. El Tamarindo immediately became one of the city's go to places for the best Salvadoran and Mexican cooking. The city's longest standing Salvadoran/Mexican eatery got a total makeover in the Spring of 2016, and in 2017 Excursion Guide granted them their sought after Endorsement of Greatness.
