About Dow Furniture
Dow Furniture is a family-claimed furniture and sleeping cushion store situated in Waldoboro, for more than 60 years. Starting around 1955, they have included brand name furniture you know and trust at distribution center costs. They have been instituted the Bedding and Furniture Capital of Maine. They anticipate seeing you. Curiously, everything started with chickens. Before there was an organization they raised chickens (400,000 in a year) right where the organization presently sits. In 1955 Wilmot Dow escaped the chicken business and began Dow Furniture with a 2,000 square foot building working as the Yankee Dealer, trading involved furniture as well as being an educator at Medomak Valley Secondary School. With the developing requirement for furniture and sleeping pads in the neighborhood, started to sell new furnishings and beddings in 1961 to the nearby local area.
