Founded in 1988, Dolphins And You began with owner Richard Holland and a great dream: to share life-changing experiences with Hawaii visitors by swimming with wild dolphins. With all the money he had, he bought three kayaks and began rowing the guests off the beach. It started with three kayaks, then 10, then 12. Soon, Richard hired half of the makaha canoe club to chase away guests. The experience eventually became Hawaii's first state-sanctioned wild dolphin swim. Over the next 30 years, it became the best dolphin tour in Hawaii! It made promoting Hawaiian culture and sustainable development the focus of his trip. Dolphins And You has expanded into a multi-business tour company that also offers hiking, roundabout Tours and more.
