The purpose of this celebration is to celebrate the city ’s anniversary, but also to build community spirit and cohesion. Their event hopes to attract all Chesapeake citizens and all their neighbors. This event cannot be held without the help of volunteers, community groups, municipal workers, police, fire and security departments. Three years later, Chesapeake Jubilee moved to the current city park. In 2003, the stage of Buddy Bagley was put into use, and its beauty is a kind of pride. This stage is achieved through donations and craftsmanship from local companies.
