Baisun Candle Co was established in 2020 amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, in desires to reconnect with their way of life and legacy. Their first instinct was to visit the closest H-mart or Chinatown market whenever they felt homesick. While inhaling the aromas of star anise and dried chrysanthemum, which are not typically found in your typical international foods aisle, they would indulge in Asian snacks like hawflakes and Melona bars. They are fortunate to be able to share the lessons and history behind the Asian scents and flavors they enjoy while making this smells like home a more accessible phrase to the aapi asian American Pacific Islander community and allies with their hand-crafted, clean burning, phthalate- and paraben free soy candles. Since switching to working full-time on Baisun Candle Co, they are able to do both of these things.
