About Calandra's Mediterranean Grill
Their story starts in 1962 with the launch of Calandra's Mediterranean Grill in Newark, New Jersey. Luciano Calandra, an Italian migrant, had been in America for only five years when he started a new business for him and opened a little Italian and French pastry shop. Mr. Calandra and his better half Ortenza really buckled down constantly, and their pastry kitchen immediately fostered a standing for delivering tasty bread. Today, Calandra's Mediterranean Grill in Newark is a 50,000 square foot activity and the family currently has two extra pastry kitchens, one in Fairfield and one in Caldwell. The three pastry shops convey their items to in excess of 500 stores, stores, and cafés in the tri-state region.
