The mission of Bugunderglass is to create a sustainable, design-centric environment for experiencing the natural world. Bugunderglass, founded in 2002, was studying for a master's degree in conservation biology and is now a full-time job, combining Kevin's love of insects, design and protection. They only use museum-grade materials, gallery quality frames and true UV (UV) barrier glass. Each work is handmade by the artist, who integrates his conservation knowledge, professional museum display and superb craftsmanship into each exhibit. It is a collection of biological arts that integrates conservation, natural history and design. Each work is designed and handmade in Sonoma with museum-grade materials and sustainable specimens.
