Throughout high school, Bloop Animation experimented with Flash and clay for stop motion videos. However, they continued to doubt their abilities as an animator. They had always wanted to attend the School of Visual Arts in New York City, but they chose to apply as an advertising major rather than an animation major. They thought they wouldn't get a job as an animator because they wasn't very good at drawing. They therefore applied for their advertising program, but they was denied entry. They was not accepted into an art school. Bloop Animation applied to four additional New York art schools, but none of them accepted them. They had to take life drawing classes for an additional year before they could enter the building. They knew advertising wasn't for them after one semester. However, they came across yet another department at the school.
