You need to know a little bit about how they got to where Big Spoon Creamery is in order to truly comprehend who they are. Geri-Martha and Ryan O'Hara, co-founders and owners, have extensive experience as chefs in some of the nation's best restaurants. In fact, they met at Bottega in Birmingham while working together. Everything began with a big dream to combine two passions people and ice cream. Big Spoon Creamery objective was to establish a ice cream company that was more concerned with loving people and providing them with excellent service than with producing the best ice cream possible. So it started. Their dream came true in July 2014 with $500, a lot of hard work, and prayers; since then, they've grown exponentially. In 2016, they began with a vintage ice cream trike before quickly moving on to a truck.
