About Bearextender
Bearextender was founded in 2009 to help students connect with the University of California, Berkeley's wireless network AirBears. Due to the size of the campus and the number of buildings, the wireless coverage of the campus is incomplete. Bearextender helps students connect on and off campus. It was developed by a graduate of product design from the University of California, Berkeley and a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, New York City. He has been working in the product development technology department. The original "BearExtender" was designed specifically for Macs and has received extensive reviews in major publications such as Engadget, TUAW, and Macworld Magazine. Since its launch in 2009, the use of BearExtender products has proliferated globally, enabling travelers to use Wi-Fi where they were previously unavailable. BearExtender is also used in corporate environments as well as the US military.
