A creative couple from Zagreb considered the Aqua store concept in 2002 and later opened the first Aqua store in Bol, a small Croatian tourist town on Brac island. With one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Aqua-shop has proven to be a good choice. Just a year later, seven new stores opened, and by 2009, 20 more had opened. That same year, significant changes occurred as Nexus Alpha, a private equity fund, entered the ownership structure and began to conquer domestic and foreign markets more quickly and successfully. That's a great step! The following year, Aqua-shop opened 49 stores, and the franchise model proved to be the best. Then he attended the world's biggest fairs: Ambiente in Frankfurt, Maison&Objet in Paris, MACEF in Milan.
