About American Camellia S
American Camellia S is a national membership group whose goal is to promote understanding of and interest in plants of the genus Camellia. The Society, which was established in 1945, has its headquarters in Massee Lane Gardens in central Georgia, close to Fort Valley. Also nine acres of Massee Lane Gardens are planted with camellias, and there are also more than twenty other acres with specialized gardens and collections. American Camellia S belongs to both the International Camellia Society and the American Association of Botanical gardens and arboreta. An International garden of excellence is Massee Lane Gardens. A 501c 3 non profit organization, the Society.
