About Adams Ranch
When an unfenced meadow was purchased in St. Lucie County, the first cattle herd were taken to the ranch and drove through what is now central Florida and Walt Disney World. The Bradford variety was developed from the Hereford X Brahman hybrid from Adams Farm. Feeding of calves becomes the main product and is transported to corals by trains and trucks. In 1969, they became the number one foundation group for the International Bradford Association and its successor in conjunction with BrFrand breeders. Today, Adams Ranch is one of the largest cattle calf ranches in the United States. Adams Ranch continues the tradition of raising cattle naturally on open pastures. The cattle are carefully managed through a conservation plan to protect the land for future generations.
