About Woodnet
Woodnet is a group of advisors and organizations that work in forestry who have come together to offer specialized assistance to businesses in the forest and timber supply chain that are thinking about investing in new facilities and equipment. It is made up of the Community Forest Trust, Cumbria Woodlands, Kent Downs AONB, Martin Glynn FICFor, Northwoods, Rural Development Initiatives, Small Woods Association, Silvanus Trust, Sylva Foundation, Woodnet, and Yorwoods. Also included are the Small Woods Association and the Silvanus Trust. Together, they provide guidance on technical issues, grant applications, business planning, marketing, and financial forecasting. Treescapes2021 is a project led by early-career researchers from Bangor, Birmingham, and the Open University. It aims to foster long-term conversations between researchers and people who work in woodlands by giving attendees current experiences from foresters and managers on the ground and a look at some of the most cutting-edge research currently being done on forests, woodlands, and trees from upcoming researchers.
