Westport Playhouse is a nationally recognized non-profit professional theatre led by Marc Ramos Art Director and Michael Barker. The mission of it is to enrich, inspire and participate in their community through the power of professionally produced theatres worth talking about and the welcome experience of their theatre campus. The beautiful and historic theatre campus is open all year round for entertainment and community events. Originally built in 1835, it is a tannery that produces leather for hatters and became a steam-powered cider in 1880. In 2005, the theater was updated and became the most advanced production theater, retaining its original charm and features. Today, the non-profit Westport Playhouse is a cultural link between patrons, artists and students, and a valuable resource for Connecticut. It creates infinite creativity for the future season, with no audience and drama passion.
