About Walworth County Fair
Walworth County Fair constitution was adopted on April 28, 1842. On October 16, 1850, the Village of East Troy hosted the first fair and cattle show that they could find. At that time, a total of 35 first premiums, 17 second premiums, and 3 third premiums were awarded. Elkhorn's first County Fair took place on the block southwest of City Park in 1851 and again in 1852. The fairgrounds were relocated to Delavan in 1853, but they were later transferred back to Elkhorn. Within the boundaries of the Village of Elkhorn, Walworth County Fair was made up of six acres.
