About Kent Stage
Kent Stage was built in 1927 as a quiet film and vaudevillian theater and is the sole enduring midtown theater in the district. In 2002, the Western Reserve Folk Arts Association took over administration of the scene and the rest is history. Kent Stage was named the Best Acoustic Venue in Northeast Ohio by The Plain Dealer when Nickel Creek ventured out before the mic and sang a reprise.
