In 2009, a community effort to preserve a picturesque 18-acre dairy farm in South Woodstock, Vermont, became Vermont Farmstead company. In the hope that it would continue to operate as a dairy farm, enthusiastic residents raised funds to acquire the land, buildings, and equipment.
