About Unhcr
Unhcr, this international organization, which is also referred to as the United Nations Refugee Agency, is committed to constructing a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless individuals, as well as to preserving rights. Unhcr work to ensure that all individuals who have fled domestic violence, war, disaster, or persecution have the right to seek asylum and refuge. Refugees around the world receive shelter, food, water, medical care, and other life-saving assistance from them. The majority of refugees yearn to return to their homes. Refugees are assisted by UNHCR whenever possible to realize this dream. They look for ways to help refugees rebuild their lives in another country when they are unable to return home. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has provided assistance to millions of people who have been forced to flee their homes since it was established in 1950 by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
