After serving in the Second World War, Harvey and Dick Tuttle opened the first Tuttle Cameras store in Belmont Shore in April 1946 on 2nd Street. In 1947, they opened a second store on Atlantic Avenue. In the Bixby Knolls Since 1990, Eric Vitwar has managed the Belmont Shore and Bixby Knolls locations for the Tuttle family. After Dick Tuttle passed away in 1998, Eric made a purchase of Tuttle Cameras from Harvey Tuttle. Since his first photography class at Lakewood High School, Eric has had a passion for the art, and he enjoys assisting other photographers in obtaining the images they seek. They are always been a part of the community and will continue to be involved with the schools in the area.
