About Cokin Filter
Cokin Filter, which was developed in 1978 by well-known French fashion and landscape photographer Jean Coquin, continues to be an essential component of the international photography community. Square or rectangular "drop-in" filters that slide into a filter holder are the primary components of the system. A straightforward adapter ring of the appropriate size holds the holder in place on lenses. The majority of Cokin Filter are constructed from C39, an optical resin produced in Europe of exceptionally high quality. This resin was Jean Coquin's choice due to its stability and clarity in the light. It is ideal for tinting because it is light, unbreakable, and has a very high optical transmission factor. Because of its superior precision to that of mineral glass, it is the ideal foundation for the creation of photographic filters.
