About The Violin Shop
Fred Carpenter began violin lessons at the age of seven and switched to fiddle after ten years of classical training. He studied fiddlers like as Kenny Baker, Vassar Clement, and Byron Berline during the following few years. The Violin Shop also toured the country, doing well in various national fiddling competitions. Fred relocated to California in 1980 to join the Tony Rice Unit, where he spent the next three years performing and recording. Fred worked as an apprentice for four years at Loveland The Violin Shop in California, where he acquired the right procedures of set up, maintenance, and bow work. Fred moved to Nashville in 1987 after leaving California in 1985 to play violin with The Dillards for two years. Within the next four years.
