About The Somerset House
The Somerset House House began as a retail space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that housed a growing collection of vintage furniture and collectibles gathered from previous interior design and staging projects carried out by founder Alan Eckstein. The retail space quickly transformed into a more carefully curated gallery and studio as a result of the favorable response. Here, Alan could build relationships with other designers, creatives, and peers while also cultivating a beautiful collection. The showroom serves as a stage for The Somerset House House's vision, which is carried through to the very essence of staging and design work. Their style combines elements from a variety of eras and cultures, including Italian Modern and Danish Modern, as well as touches of Baroque and Primitive styles. They are drawn to one-of-a-kind, truly one-of-a-kind pieces and combinations.
