In just a few months after its August 2010 opening, Table Wine Asheville became recognized as the top wine merchant in Asheville, North Carolina. Their slogan, "Artisanal wines at affordable prices," focuses on "wines for the people." Table Wine Asheville emphasis on what they like to refer to as "farmer" wines is another aspect of their work that distinguishes it from other similar endeavors. Simply put, the grapes for almost all of their wines are either purchased from small, family-run vineyards or grown by the wineries themselves. These are the producers who believe that nice, healthy, well produced grapes are used to make exceptional wine in the vineyard. If you've ever shopped for vegetables at one of Asheville's several farmer's markets, they think you'll agree that the tomato you buy there well exceeds the quality, freshness, and taste of the one you buy at the grocery store. In this respect, they can be considered a "farmer's wine market." The same idea holds true with wine.
