About Sweet Cheeks Winery
Sweet Cheeks Winery story began in 1978 when owner Dan Smith planted a vineyard on a rolling hillside in crow, ore. After a hard day's work, he looked at the vineyard, noticed the strange shape of the land, and named the vineyard "sweet cheeks. "Opening a brewery at this point is just a dream. He continued to cultivate the land, supplying pinot noir, pinot grigio, chardonnay and Riesling grapes to local wineries. When a building in Junction City was demolished in 2003, he took the opportunity to relocate it on top of the vineyard. On Thanksgiving 2005, these doors opened as their tasting room, marking the beginning of Sweet Cheeks Winery. They invite you to also visit the winery nested at the top of Briggs Hill Road and the town tasting room at the beautiful fifth street public market.
