About Siskel Film Center
Siskel Film Center selects and presents important world movies in a non-commercial context, setting aesthetic, critical, and entertainment standards. To this end, GSFC presents a series of well-planned film art in a well-equipped facility, and places the film in historical and cultural contexts through courses, lectures, group discussions and publications, as well as research and collections. Since 1972, the Art Institute of Chicago has shown the most advanced movies to 85,000 spectators each year. Siskel Film Center's events include an annual film festival celebrating different voices and international cultures, the premiere of today's indie filmmakers' creations, the restoration and revival of important films in film history, and insights with filmmakers and media artists. A provocative discussion.
