About Simple Simon Pies
Although it seems straightforward, the small pie company might have had a lucky start in a garage. After launching two successful businesses in the food industry, Bob Whitworth, the creator of Simple Simon Pies and a native of merry old England, discovered themselves in possession of a pastry-making machine in 1987. With the help of a friend's pizza parlor kitchen, they made a few pies and kept them in freezers in their garage. Then they offered them for sale at a farmers market outside. They understood from the start that if people tried their pies, they would buy them. That day, Simple Simon Pies sold all of their pies. They believed they had discovered something.
