In 2012, they expanded and moved to a new facility. Sarah Smith and Josh Howell joined the team in 2015. Short Action Customs can now test and evaluate their rifles and products. They set up an electronic target system at 600 yards to test and evaluate what they are doing and promote the development of new processes and products. Short-action Customs is full of CNC capabilities with the 2014 Haas TL-1 CNC lathe for their barrel and action and bolt work in addition to product development. They also own a 2018 Haas VF-4SS CNC vertical machining center which will allow them to do almost everything in-house and continue to develop their own products.
